COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – Coldwater plays host to Marshall on Friday night in a girls/boys varsity doubleheader. The Coldwater girls will be trying for their fourth straight win. They have won four out of their last five and have improved to 7-7 overall and 5-3 in the Interstate 8.
The Coldwater boys will be out to avenge a loss to the Red Hawks in December. They have won six out of seven and enter Friday’s game in a three way tie for first in the Interstate 8. Coldwater is 6-2 in the I-8 and 8-5 overall.
It will be a tripleheader of basketball Friday night at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium. The JV girls game starts at 4:15 p.m. followed by the varsity girls game at 6:00 p.m. and the varsity boys game at 7:30 p.m. Coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB and on line at www.wtvbam.com starts at 5:30 p.m..
In another girls/boys varsity doubleheader which will start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night, Quincy will be at Springport.
Friday’s Union City games against Concord have been postponed due to the number of illnesses in the district which has forced it to shut down. No make dates have been announced yet. In addition, the Union City Hall of Fame ceremony has been rescheduled for next Friday night in between games of the doubleheader with Reading.
With the Bronson School District also closed because of to many illnesses, Friday’s boys game between Bronson and Homer has been postponed until February 24th. The Thursday night Bronson girls game with Homer is now scheduled for February 19th.
