BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The outbreak of sickness that forced the Bronson and Colon School Districts to close for the rest of this week has forced postponment of high school basketball games.
The Bronson School district announced Wednesday night that the basketball games against Homer that were scheduled for Thursday and Friday have been postponed.
The girls game originally scheduled for Thursday night has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 19. The boys game originally scheduled for Friday night has been rescheduled for Monday, February 24.
Bronson Athletic Director Jean LaClair said as of Wednesday afternoon, competitive cheer, varsity wrestling and junior high wrestling will be competing on Saturday.
Only varsity teams will be allowed to practice on Thursday and Friday. No sub varsity teams will be practicing.
LaClair is asking parents of student-athletes that if your child is sick, and cannot attend practice or a contest, please let the coach know.
Since the Colon School District is closed, the Magi’s basketball games against Tekonsha have been called off. No make up dates have been announced for the Thursday night girls game or the Friday night boys game.
