COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School bowling teams swept Pennfield Tuesday night at Midway Lanes as the Cardinals won the girls match 22-8 and the boys match 23-7.
The Coldwater girls took both regular games 800-691 and 820-636 to take totals 1620 to 1327. The girls split the baker games 160-147, losing game 2, 139 to 120, losing totals by 6 pins, 286-280. All five girls chipped in by winning eight out of 10 individual points.
Coldwater was led by Rilee Cooper Lewis with a high game of 187, Noella Keplinger with a 167, Carly Gebbink and Allison Caswell both had games of 162.
The varsity boys tied game 1848 to 848, took game 2, 926 to 885 and took totals 1774-1733. Coldwater won both baker games 245-142 and 203-155 for totals of 448 to 300.
The Coldwater boys were led by Ryan Sturgeon with a 233 game, Dayten Yearling with a 197 and 209 game for a 406 series and Kai Kinsey with a 201 and 171 for a 372 series.
The JV’s bowled a co-ed squad taking the match 23 to 7. Winning both regular games 672-567 and 619-542 taking totals 1291-1109, splitting the baker games 153-104 and 133-125 taking total 278-237.
