EMMETT TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – An Emmett Township building in Calhoun County owned by a Coldwater man was damaged Sunday morning when it was struck by a car.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the building owned by Victor Wright on Cliff Street sustained thousands of dollars in damage after it was struck shortly before 2:00 a.m..
Police say a car left Columbia Avenue, went across a grassy area and crashed into the building.
The driver of the vehicle was a 42-year-old woman from Galesburg. The Emmett Township Department of Public Safety arrested her for suspected drunk driving.
They are still investigating the crash which left a hole in the wall and a broken natural gas pipeline.
No was inside and there were no injuries.
