COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of two Indiana suspects who were charged in the break in and theft of items from storage units on Coldwater’s south side last July was sentenced Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
37-year-old Jennifer Renee Oliver entered no contest pleas to charges of attempted breaking and entering with intent and receiving an concealing stolen property over $1,000 but under $20,000.
She was given an 11 month jail sentence with credit for 202 days already served. Jail time would be suspended over probation after nine months and Oliver would have to pay $232 in restitution.
Seven counts of breaking and entering with intent and a charge of possession of burglary tools were dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for her pleas.
Oliver and 44-year-old Robby Alan McCarty were arrested on Marshall Road just north of Coldwater after several Shaffmaster U-Store-N-Lock storage units on North Angola Road were broken into. .
