QUINCY, MI. – (WTVB) – The Quincy Lady Orioles could not recover from going scoreless in the first 10 minutes of the game on Friday night as they were defeated by the Jonesville Comets 37-25 in a Big 8 Conference girls basketball contest.
Jonesville beat Quincy for the second time this season. The Comets built a 13-0 lead before the Orioles scored two minutes into the second quarter. Jonesville built a 18-4 lead at halftime and maintained a double digit lead throughout the second half.
Mackenzie Baker scored a game-high 14 points for the Comets. Maddie Hinds led Quincy with 10 points while Katie Rathbun had nine points.
Quincy drops to 7-3 overall and 3-3 in the Big 8 Conference.

UNION CITY, MI. – (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings improved to 6-4 overall and 4-2 in the Big 8 as they won at Union City 47-33. Meagan Lasky scored a game-high 16 points for Bronson. Keona Salesman had nine points and 10 rebounds for the Vikings. Union City’s Emma Dexter had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while Logan Allen had 10 points for the Chargers.
