BRONSON, MI – (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings went 3-2 and finished in third place on Saturday at their annual Clark Walker Memorial Tournament.
The tournament is named after a former state champion Bronson wrestler who lost his life while serving his country in the Vietnam War in 1967.
Craig Tappenden won all five of his matches on Saturday. Ben Modert, Brenyn Fee, J.C. DePaz and Justin Blankenship all went 4-1.
Bronson defeated White Pigeon 45-25, Pennfield 60-12 and Hanover-Horton on a tiebreaker after the match had ended in a 40-40 tie.
The Vikings were beaten by Gull Lake 46-28 and by Lakewood 48-22.
