JACKSON, MI – (WTVB) – Coldwater split with Jackson Northwest on Thursday at Jax 60 Lanes in Jackson. The Varsity Girls kept up their winning ways with a 24-6 victory but the boys lost to Northwest 23-7.
The Coldwater girls had regular games of 844 and 806 for a total of 1650. Their baker game scores were 142 and 166. Coldwater was led by Noella Keplinger with a 237, Cassie Pokorney had a 190 and Rilee Cooper Lewis rolled a 168.
The Coldwater boys lost both regular games 989 to 865 and 1,066 to 827. The Cardinals won their first baker game 190 to 169 but lost the second baker game 232 to 147. Coldwater boys were led by Dayten Yearling with a 208 game, Kai Kinsey with a 189, Chase Rubley had a 183 and Logan Cleckner rolled a 171.
The JV Boys lost 20 to 10. Coldwater JV boys were led by Chance Cook who strung together eight strikes in a row in the first game and finished with a 267 followed by a 184 for a 451 set. Ryan Sturgeon also had a good game of 175.
Coldwater fielded a mixed JV team who won the night 26-4. They were led by Cameron Schuler with a career high 205, Desarae Kling with a 149, Kayden Sunday with a 140 and Annbelle Kling with a 127.
