COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners tentatively approved contracts with five unions representating county employees Tuesday.
The contracts cover Sheriff’s Department Road and Corrections sergeants and 911 Dispatchers, as well as Friend of the Court, District Court, and Circuit Court union employees.
Commissioner Terri Norris said she appreciated the unions working with the commissioners to get agreements done before the end of the year so that negotiated wage increases could be included at the beginning of 2020.
She said the two sides worked to reduce the differences between Tier One and Tier Two pay issues and that the unions were on board with the commissioners that the Tier Two needs to be eliminated
