COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Planning Commission Chair Debbie Lounds revealed during Wednesday’s meeting that she had been contacted by D.T.E. Energy concerning the Commission’s position on solar farms, specifically in Ovid Township.
Lounds said she turned down their request for a special meeting because the County Planning Commission has very little say on the issue.
After nearly six months of discussions, the Ovid Township Board recently approved amendments to the township solar and general zoning ordinances.
