COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A major Michigan Department of Transportation road construction project in the City of Coldwater is scheduled to start this Monday.
MDOT will resurface over two miles of U.S. 12 from Western Avenue to Michigan Avenue.
The $1.4 million investment includes sanitary sewer repairs, sidewalk ramp upgrades and pavement markings.
The work is scheduled to be finished by September 10.
MDOT officials say there will be lane closures throughout the project with at least one lane open in each direction except for a one-week total closure of U.S. 12 between Western/Butters Avenue and Division Street.
During that closure, traffic will be detoured onto Butters Avenue, Garfield Road and Marshall Street.
