BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Survival seemed the theme Thursday night as the 134th Bronson High School commencement ceremonies were held.
The rain held off which allowed the ceremony to be held for the Class of 2021 on the football field without capacity limits and without the use of masks.
Nearly all of the speakers talked about how the 76 graduating seniors got to this day despite the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting life as we know it since March of 2020. As juniors, they lost the last three months of the school year as schools around the state had to be shut down.
Salutatorian Gabby DePaz noted how difficult this senior year has been.
Co-Valedictorian Aleena Bidwell said the Class of ’21 was motivated.
Co-Valedictorian Victor McBride was looking ahead to the future.
Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday in Quincy and Coldwater.
