COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Doctor Karen Luparello from Hillsdale County will take over as the new Medical Director for the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency later this year.
Health Officer Rebecca Burns made the announcement during Thursday morning’s Board of Health meeting that a committee selected to interview candidates gave her the go ahead to begin contract negotiations.
Luparello will take over for Doctor H. Lauren Vogel who is retiring at the end of September.
Luparello received her medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been practicing medicine for over than 20 years.
Dr. Vogel has served the agency since 2013 and helped the agency navigate through the COVID 19 pandemic.
