Linda Kay Walker, 74 of Coldwater passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at her home while under hospice care and surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will take place at 3:00 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home with Rick Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:30 pm. For those who cannot attend, Linda’s service will be webcast on her Dutcher Funeral Home webpage beginning at 2:45.
Linda was born August 17, 1946 to Leo and Bertha (Schroerlueke) Goodwin in Lima, OH. She was a St. Mary’s High School graduate. Linda was a hardworking woman, spending 30 years at Walmart as a cashier along with other positions. She retired earlier this year due to health reasons. On February 20, 1965 she married the love of her life, Paul Walker.
Linda enjoyed doing craft work such as ceramics and sewing. She and Paul spent many hours traveling to their kids and then grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. Linda’s true joy in life was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always put their needs before her own. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul Walker of Coldwater; her children Tracey Walker of Coldwater and Paul (Stacey) Walker of Marshall; her siblings Dorla Rempe of St. Mary’s, OH, Leo (Nancy) Goodwin of Louisville, KY, Leroy Goodwin of St. Mary’s, OH, and Gene (Cheryl) Goodwin of Columbus, OH; her grandchildren Michael Walker, Shelby Walker, Corey Meacell, Hunter Walker, and Alyssa Walker; her great grandson Benjamin Meacell; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter Marcie Ann Walker; her brothers Leonard and Jerry Goodwin; her brother-in-law Paul Rempe; her sister-in-law Janice Goodwin; and her niece Deborah Goodwin.
