BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A full slate of 4th of July holiday activities will take place this weekend around Branch County.
Some of the activities return after they had to be called off last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first of the holiday weekend fireworks shows will take place Friday night over Marble Lake as the display will be launched from Corn Island. AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB will provide patriotic music for the show.
Most of the holiday weekend fireworks shows are scheduled for Saturday night. They are scheduled to take place that night over Coldwater Lake, Lake George, Craig Lake and the Waffle Farm Campgrounds and in Union City.
The Coldwater Lake Association’s annual pancake breakfast which raises money for various community projects will be on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m..
There will be field games at Alumni Field in Union City on Saturday night before the fireworks show.
A Fourth of July parade will take place in Quincy on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. which is being organized by Andy Craig.
A boat parade will proceed the Saturday night fireworks over Lake George.
Coldwater’s annual fireworks show at Heritage Park will take place at around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday night. There will also be a Sunday night fireworks show at Turtle Lake Resort.
