Oscar Flores Vasquez, 68, of Coldwater passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater with Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 pm with Rosary beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Oscar was born August 30, 1952 to Ramon and Guadalupe (Flores) Vasquez in Sinton, TX. He was a high school graduate and a hardworking man. Oscar started his own trucking driving company in 1976. He later worked at Lukazcek Excavating as a truck driver.
Oscar was a member of the Coldwater Moose Lodge #677. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, traveling, and going camping. Oscar was a big fan of campfires with family and friends. Over the years he had helped many, especially with rides to the cancer center. He will be remembered for being the life of the party as well as his big heart.
Oscar is survived by his children Lance (Sheryl) Vasquez of Kansas City, MO., and Lorrie Vasquez of Cincinnati, OH; his brother David Vasquez of Rock Island, IL; his six grandchildren Destiny, Keionia, Christina, Laurisa, Gabriela, and Andres (Dayna); his great granddaughter Rayah; and extended family Mark, Pam, Jacob, and Sarah.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
