COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Children’s Museum of Branch County is hoping to raise $15,000 over the next several weeks starting on Monday.
The museum has partnered with the USA Today Network, in a Community Thrives Challenge sponsored by the Gannett Foundation in a four week nationwide fundraising campaign aimed at raising funds for exhibit expansions.
The challenge ends Friday, August 13. The goal of raising $15,000 includes a dollar for dollar matching grant for the first $4,000 raised. “We are very excited to be participating in this fundraiser again this year. Last year we raised over $9,500 for exhibit expansions at the Museum,” said Kayla Gray, President of the CMBC.
Gray added that last years’ fundraiser money went toward the recently installed Everbright exhibit.
Anyone interested in donating to A Community Thrives Challenge and to see some of the expansion items should go to the CMBC fundraising page at http://www.mightycause.com/organization/Childrens-Museum-Of-Branch-County.
In addition to donating online, the CMBC can also accept IRA distributions, checks and cash donations at the Museum.
