COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A St. Joseph County man got a trip to prison for his 28th birthday on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
Caleb Wing is heading to the Michigan Department of Corrections after he entered guilty pleas to charges of breaking and entering with intent, possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance and assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer.
Wing was given a sentence of 19 months to 10 years on the B and E count. He also got concurrent sentences of 19 to 96 months on the drug charge and 16 to 24 months on the resisting charge.
Wing was given credit for 389 days already served in the Branch County Jail.
As part of the plea agreement, all other charges against Wing as well as habitual offender filings in Branch, Jackson and Hillsdale Counties will be dismissed.
