COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Work on the Coldwater High School Interact Club’s downtown mural is finished on South Hanchett Street.
Local muralist Kimber Thompson of Marshall painted the mural on the brick wall of the John Fulmer State Farm Insurance building.
Thompson also painted the mural at the Splash Park in Coldwater and the downtown mural in Marshall.
The Interact Club has been working for over a year to raise funds for the project.
The Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors approved a match fundraiser in February to help round out the budget for the project.
2018 Coldwater High School graduate Abby Licht was the designer. Her design features the Waterworks Park bridge, the Cardinal, the Branch District Library, Tibbits Opera House, the Passenger House train station, the eagle in front of the Henry L. Brown Municipal building, the Courthouse clock tower, the Branch County Fair, and the downtown Coldwater Farmer’s Market.
