Pauline J. Preston, 100, formerly of Quincy passed away in Georgia on Friday, October 23, 2020.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case of California Community Church officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Knauss Cemetery. Pauline’s service will be webcast on her Dutcher Funeral Home page beginning at 11:45 am Saturday.
Pauline was born November 21, 1919 to James and Jessie (Powell) Stickney in Coldwater. She married Claude Preston on April 11, 1939 in Fort Wayne, IN. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1987. Pauline was a hardworking woman spending time working at Newberry’s, Murphy’s, Shaw Shoe Factory, and Coldwater Service. She also helped work the family farm for many years. Pauline enjoyed spending time crocheting, quilting, and gardening. She had a soft spot for her pets. Pauline’s true joy in life was being around her family and their family dinners.
Mrs. Preston is survived by her sons Lee (Pat) Preston of Quincy, Arthur Preston of Bronson; her daughters Florence Wells of Coldwater, Pat (Donald) Miller of Conyers, GA, Neva (Gilbert) Murray of Cataic, CA, and Caren (Donald) Estes of Glen St. Mary, FL; 9 grand, several great and great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Claude; 4 sisters and 2 brothers; her son Rovell Preston, her son-in-law Lowell Wells; her grandchildren, Brian Preston, Marion Wells, Beth Wells, Lauri and Claudia Miller; and several infant grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Carline Preston; and her daughter-in-law Jan Danklefsen.
