LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An order regarding the restriction of access to water on state beaches during dangerous conditions has been clarified.
Officials with the state DNR say that the changes will allow park rangers and conservation officers the ability to keep people from swimming during those times, with a few exceptions.
In addition, provisions were made to allow surfing and other board sports to take place when waves are high, as long as those participating follow safety guidelines.
