UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chamber of Commerce invites you to a celebration of the area’s agricultural community on Saturday, September 25 with a modified Farm to Fork event at the Rick Mear’s Amphitheater.
This year the event is free with the servings of meat and sides first come, first served until gone.
Locally sourced meats raised by area farmers will be roasted downtown behind Merchant’s True Value Hardware.
The menu will include beef briskets from Butternut Ridge Beef, lamb from AcMoody Farms and pork sourced from Idle River Farms.
Local restaraunts providing a pre-packaged side are The Bucket and Union City’s Broadway Grille.
Feel free to bring your own sides from home for your own immediate family or friend group. Table service will be provided along with milk and water. Remember to bring your own chairs and/or picnic blanket.
West High Street will be closed to traffic from North Broadway to Ann Street from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.. Roasted meats will be served at 5:00 p.m. by those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 and will be wearing masks and gloves.
The 2021 Citizen of the Year Awards will be announced at The Rick Mears Amphitheater at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Chamber of Commerce’s Pie Auction.
The Pie Auction is a fundraiser for the Union City Chamber of Commerce. You can submit pies for auction by contacting Laura Legris at Heator Insurance 517-741-5861 or 269-961-0113. Donated pies can be brought to the amphitheater between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m..
A concert with Delbert & Haley hosted by The Friends of the Library will start at 6:30 p.m..
