COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council on Monday night that paving work on Western Avenue and State Street is scheduled to take place late this week with hopes the work can be done before the start of school on August 23.
Western Avenue and State Street from Grand to Bishop Avenue has been shut down since early July for the resurfacing work which is being performed by Parrish Excavating of Quincy at a cost of over $268,000.
Meanwhile, work continues on Sauk River Drive. The water main portion of the project was completed several weeks ago. While the road work is continuing, Baker says the project is being slightly adjusted.
Baker also announced the final paving work on U.S. 12 took place last week as some finishing touches still have to be performed.
The Michigan Department of Transportation project on U.S. 12 is scheduled to be completed by September 10.
