COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the announcement last week that Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Jeff Budd is resigning, the B.P.U. Board is scheduled Wednesday night to discuss the search for his successor. Budd’s resignation was announced in a letter that was read by City Attorney Megan Angell near the end of the August 23 Coldwater City Council meeting.
Budd’s resignation puts a cap on a 23-year career with the city and utility.
His final day was not announced and his next professional destination was not immediately disclosed. Budd said he plans to work with the B.P.U. Board over the next few months “to insure a smooth transition” as they search for the next director.
Budd indicated that he and his family would be staying in Coldwater.
