BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A motorcyclist was injured early Monday morning on the east side of Bronson when he tried to avoid hitting a deer and crashed.
Michigan State Police say the crash happened at about 2:30 a.m. on U.S. 12 and Wayne Street.
They say the unidentified 23-year-old man suffered a broken collarbone and road rash in the crash after he swerved his motorcycle in an attempt to avoid hitting the deer.
He managed to be taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital on his own. The State Police say the injured man did not call 911. The crash was reported to the State Police by the hospital.
Troopers issued the motorcyclist a citation for speeding.
