BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School seventh grade A volleyball team opened the season with a tough loss to Harper Creek 25-27, 25-22, 14-16. Legg was led at the service line by Brooklyn Closson 10-12 with 6 aces, Julianna Cowles 9-9 with 2 aces, Isabella Angevine 6-10 2 aces, T. K. Boyd 7-15 3 aces. Katie Senyk had four kills. Closson lead the team in digs with three.
The Legg Middle School seventh grade B team won all three sets over Harper Creek Tuesday night by scores of 26-24, 25-15 and 16-14. Leading the Lady Cardinals in scoring was Kinley Brown serving 21/23 with 13 aces, Kinley Cummings serving 14/14 with 3 aces, and Savannah serving 8/9 with 3 aces.
