BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A mobile home in Branch County went up in flames Monday morning. The alarm came in shortly before 7 a.m. with the Bronson Fire Department called to respond to Rubley Road just east of South Snow Prairie Road in Gilead Township, southeast of Bronson. When firefighters arrived, they found the structure fully engulfed and learned that a man and woman that were inside at the time had fled the home before they reached the scene.
Bronson requested mutual aid for a tanker truck from the Lakeland Fire Department. Firemen remained on the job for 3 hours. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of the blaze and suspect it may be meth related.
No injuries were reported.
