COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An updated Branch County Master Plan was brought forward by the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday.
Commissioners are expected to take formal action next Tuesday to authorize its distribution and to pass a resolution which gives their final approval to the revised Master Plan.
Patrick Hudson of the Southcentral Michigan Planning Council has worked on updating the Master Plan which was originally written in 1993.
Opponents of proposed wind turbines in the northwestern part of the county pushed for the County Master Plan to be updated several years ago.
The updated Master Plan was sent onto the Commissioners after it was approved by the County’s Planning Commission on September 1.
