COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School seventh grade volleyball teams split their matches with Pennfield on Thursday night.
The A team lost a tough match 25-16, 23-25, 9-15. On the night Coldwater was led at the service line by Brooklyn Closson 20 – 20 with 12 aces followed by T.K. Boyd 11-14 9 aces, Juliana Colwles 6-7 & Aubrey Gebbink 6-8 with 3 aces.
Meanwhile, the B team defeated Pennfield by scores of 25-14, 25-13 and 15-7. Ella Thompson led Legg in serving as she was 12/13 with 6 aces, Kinley Cummings 10/10 with 6 aces, Kinley Brown 7/8 with 3 aces, Marie Powers 6/7 with 3 aces, Hailey Winkleman 5/7 with 4 aces and Aivry Chavez 4/5 with one ace.
Both squads will be back in action on Saturday at the Marshal invitational.
