COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Commissioners accomplished a lot yesterday at their final meeting of 2015 and it only took a half hour to get it done. There was very little discussion as the Board quickly adopted a spending plan for next year, advanced a 3-year strategic management agreement for the Community Health Center of Branch County that could lead to the eventual sale of the county owned hospital and also gave County Administrator Bud Norman a new 3 year contract.
The talking points for the busy year end agenda for Commissioners happened last week at the Commission’s 2-hour plus work meeting. In most cases, the work sessions are where the Board hammers out the details with debate and input from department heads and other county officials with recommendations then advanced for passage or rejection at their regular meetings.
The county commission will next gather in 2016 for its annual organizational meeting which is set for 9 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016.
