CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Office was one of numerous area law enforcement agencies in Michigan and Indiana who helped the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department apprehend a suspect wanted in a series of thefts on August 24.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says several thefts from motor vehicles and entries into garages were reported on that day in the Lake Templene area in Nottawa Township. .
A suspect was ultimately arrested in Kalamazoo County by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation lasted for almost three weeks. Other police agencies involved included Sturgis Police, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Joseph County Sheriff Dive Rescue Team.
The investigation is still on going and will be submitted to the St. Joseph County Prosecutors office.
