Gavin John Brewer, 35, of Bronson, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. A memorial service will be held for Gavin Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:30AM at St. Mary of Assumption Church. A burial of ashes will follow the service at Snow Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4-7:00PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
He was born November 11, 1985 to Brian and Lori (Rzepka) Brewer in Sturgis, MI. Gavin was a 2003 graduate of Bronson High School and had worked for the last 18 years as the cook and a member of management at the Bronson Strike Zone. He had served on the board of the Bronson Bowling Association for several years out of his passion for the sport that he discovered at a young age. Gavin also enjoyed playing pool, going fishing, music, and was always ready for a game of trivia. He was a huge movie buff admiring and knowledgeable of all genres, but by far his most favorite was Star Wars. Gavin made sure to always keep his heart filled with the love he held for his family and will be dearly missed as a son, father, brother, boyfriend, and friend to so many.
Gavin leaves behind his parents Brian and Lori Brewer of Bronson; his girlfriend Tasha Henson of Bronson; his daughter RyLynn Brewer of Bronson; siblings Darren (Melinda Brown) Brewer of Bronson, Hailey (Tyler Hutchens) Brewer of Grand Rapids, MI; his nephews Logan and Bryce Brewer; his grandmother Rosemary Brewer and his grandfather Arthur Preston.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Janet Danklefsen, John and Sue Rzepka, and Gerald Brewer.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family to go towards RyLynn’s College Education.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
