COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County’s second measurable snow event of the season that happened last night was minor in comparison to the nearly foot of the white stuff that fell back on November 21st but Friday’s dusting turned into a major headache for drivers. Branch County 911 Central Dispatch took at least 38 calls between 7 o’clock last night and into the early morning hours from motorists reporting accidents from collisions to slide-offs to rollovers. Six were listed as either unknown or confirmed injury accidents, although there wasn’t word of anybody being seriously hurt in the crashes. Bronson first responders on their way to a rollover accident just after midnight said the secondary roads were solid ice. Caution and slower speeds are still recommended for drivers through mid-day tomorrow with scattered snow showers part of the forecast for this morning and below freezing temperatures until late Sunday morning.
