ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A suspected Indiana meth dealer being sought since this summer by local, state, and federal officials while allegedly operating his labs just south of Branch County was arrested this morning at his Jimmerson Lake home. 50-year old Edward Perrey is being held in the Steuben County Jail pending preliminary court hearings.
Perrey is facing 4 counts of felony dealing in methamphetamine, 2 counts of felony habitual offender and 1 count of felony theft. Perrey was the subject of a 4-month joint investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, the IMAGE Drug task force and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Ft. Wayne. A Northeast Indiana SWAT team served search and arrest warrants this morning at Perrey’s home.
The probe into Perrey’s alleged crimes continues and authorities say more charges are possible.
