COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater Township home was extensively damaged by fire early today. One person was injured, apparently hurt in a fall attempting to flee the blaze that broke out in the basement of the house at 379 Airview Drive. The three people at the residence were outside the structure when Coldwater firefighters reached the scene after the alarm came in at t2:10 a.m. Monday.
The Quincy and Bronson Fire Departments both provided tanker trucks and manpower to assist in dousing the flames. No word on the cause of the fire. At last word, Coldwater firemen were still on scene this morning.
The woman reported hurt in the reported fall was taken to the Community Health Center of Branch County for treatment.
