QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Union City improved to 1-1 in the Big Eight Conference as they defeated Quincy three games to nothing on Wednesday night by scores of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-19.
Union City Coach Ashley Herman said, “We were a little off tonight offensively and never really found a good rhythm but were able to stay focused and make enough plays to keep the lead for the majority of the night. We need a few good days of practice to prepare to face Homer next week as we continue conference play.”
Jordan Chard had 19 assists and seven digs for the Chargers. Jayda Risner and Kassandra Kohsmann both had seven digs and seven kills. Kohsmann also had three service aces. Quincy statistics were unavailable.
