UNDATED (WTVB) – The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is hoping people will find it in their hearts to make an extra donation this Christmas season. Pete Osman is President and CEO for Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and says toy donations over the last several years have declined. There are currently 15.5 million children living below the federal poverty line in the United States. Given the current economic climate, millions of children risk disappointment on Christmas morning if their parents are struggling to provide basic essentials of food and shelter. Parents can turn to Marine Toys for Tots during this time of year. Toys are being collected at all Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us locations nationwide through Sunday, December 6th, as well as online at Toysfortots.org.
