COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It took firefighters about 15 minutes to put out a house fire at 154 South Hudson in Coldwater on Tuesday evening.
Coldwater Firefighters got automatic mutual aid from the Quincy Fire Department when the fire at the residence owned by Richard Brown was reported just after 6:00 p.m..
Smoke was showing from a second story bedroom window when the first firefighters arrived.
Coldwater Fire Marshal Steve Trall says crews remained on scene for over an hour.
No injuries were reported as everyone in the home was able to escape.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the damage, which was confined to a second story bedroom, was estimated at $5,000.
Lifecare Ambulance, the Coldwater B.P.U., Michigan Gas, Branch County Victims Assistance Team, the American Red Cross and Coldwater Police also assisted at the scene.
