CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Calhoun County Public Health Department says they will offer Calhoun County residents the additional dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at three clinics in October.
Eligibility for the third dose is limited at this time to anyone who has received the second Pfizer dose at least six months ago and meet certain conditions.
Individual are eligible if they are 65 years old and older; are 18 through 64 years of age at a high risk of severe COVID-19 due to certain underlying medical conditions or whose frequent institutional or occupational exposure to COVID-19 puts them at high risk of serious complications.
These clinics will offer appointments and walk-ins. To make an appointment, please visit calhouncountymi.gov/covidvaccine.
Appointments are strongly encouraged to reduce wait times, however, they are not required. For individuals that are having trouble accessing the online scheduler or lack internet access, call 269-441-0912 for assistance in scheduling appointments.
The Vaccine Clinics will be held at the Crossroads Church in Marshall next Wednesday, October 6; at the Battle Creek YMCA Multi Sports Complex on Wednesday, October 13, and in Albion on Wednesday, October 20 at Opportunity High School.
Those who attend the clinics are asked to bring their COVID-19 vaccine card and ID to allow for quicker processing and waiting times.
