STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater travelled to the Island Hills Golf Course to play in the Sturgis Invitational/Pre-Regional Event and turned in their best performance of the season by placing fifth out of the 17 teams that were there.
Coldwater shot a team score of 378. Byron Center won the event with a team score of 345.
Coldwater was once again led by Taylor Musselman who also was Medalist for the event shooting a fine round of 75. The event is unique in that Sturgis creates two Divisions to give kids more opportunities to win medals in the event.
Coldwater was in the Black Division and Anissa Stevens had a top 10 finish shooting a round of 91.
Katie Kimble had a round of 105, Ezma Machan shot a 107, Hailey Price carded a 111, Ashley Drzewicki had a 117 and Violet Cunkle rounded out the scoring for Coldwater with a score of 122.
Coldwater will be playing at Island Hills in a Tri match on Monday and then Regionals will be held there on Tuesday of next week.
