COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A time line in the search for a new Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director was laid out during a board workshop on Wednesday night.
Director Jeff Budd announced his resignation in late August after he accepted a position with an unnamed company but he and his family plan to continue living in Coldwater.
His official start date at his new job is October 25.
After October 25, Budd’s balance of hours from his personal time off which is about 11 weeks will be reduced and he intends to continue working for the city with his last full time day on December 31.
Budd said he would be available for part time work after the first of the year.
The Director’s position was being posted on Friday. The consensus of the board on Wednesday was to use a traditional method of finding the next director.
Applications will be accepted through the end of October. Interviews will then take place in December. It’s hoped the position can be offered during the January Board meeting with the new Director taking over in February of 2022.
