CHICAGO, IL (WKZO AM/FM) – David Montgomery rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns as the Bears beat the winless Detroit Lions 24-14 in Chicago Sunday afternoon.
Montgomery, however, left with a knee injury. Justin Fields started again in place of the injured Andy Dalton and finished 11-of-17 for 209 yards and an interception.
The Lions had issues converting long drives into points. On three separate occasions, Detroit drove the ball inside the Bears’ ten-yard-line without scoring. No NFL team has come up empty in that situation three times in the same game since at least 1993.
Jared Goff threw for 299 yards and tossed two touchdown passes to Kalif Raymond, but he also lost two fumbles.
The Lions are last in the NFC North with an 0-and-4 record. The Lions dropped to 0-and-4 with their eighth straight loss dating back to last season.
