COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Children’s Museum of Branch County has received a $5,000 “A Community Thrives” grant from the USA TODAY NETWORK and the Gannett Foundation.
Museum Board Member Shana Grife says the museum will use the grant for an exhibit expansion.
She says the grant was awarded after a fund raising drive.
Children’s Museum of Branch County President Kayla Gray says they were able to raise almost $10,000 before they were awarded the grant.
The museum has been at the Fairfield Plaza on Marshall Street since June 2017. It was announced last month the museum and members of the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority have been discussing options about possibly relocating the museum to the former Taylor’s Stationers building
The Children’s Museum of Branch County is a community driven, child-centered space where children explore, learn and grow by engaging in interactive play with those who care about them.
