BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Lady Vikings defeated the Gladiators of Traverse City St. Francis in the MHSAA Class C Volleyball Semifinals at Kellogg Arena this afternoon by a 3-1 count, winning 25-18, 25-27, 25-15, and 25-23.
Senior outside hitter Kirin Cekander, our McDonald’s Player of the Match, had a team-high 15 kills, 24 digs, and 4 service aces. Allison Sikorski and Jill Pyles had 9 kills apiece, while setter Alexa Ratkowski had 44 assists to go with 8 kills.
The Vkings will face Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central tomorrow at Noon at Kellogg Arena to play for the Class C Volleyball State Championship. In the other Class C Semifinal, the Kestrels eliminated Brown City in 5 games, 19-25, 25-15, 19-25, 25-12, and 15-9.
