LANSING, MI (WTVB) – With Governor Snyder out of the state, it fell to Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley to sign an executive order establishing an “Employment First” program that would lead to increased job opportunities for Michiganders with disabilities. This program will be implemented by state agencies and departments to create career opportunities and foster personal and professional growth, stressing the importance of information sharing across businesses and organizations that value diverse skill sets.
The State Rehabilitation Council will oversee the implementation of the Employment First program.
