LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – State Attorney General Dana Nessel is one of 20 attorneys general across the country opposed to proposed changes in the business plan for the US Postal Service.
The changes include a reduction in post office hours and an increase in rates.
The plan is to be implemented over a ten-year period.
Nessel said, “At the end of the day, what it means is that we’re not going to be receiving and sending our mail in time. We can’t count on the fact that our utility bills will be paid in time, or our credit card bills. We don’t even know if our Christmas card will arrive or be sent on time.”
The group is asking the Postal Regulatory Commission to act quickly on their request.
