DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions have lost the first six games of the 2021 season after falling 34-11 to the Cincinnati Bengals at Ford Field Sunday.
Detroit dug themselves into a 27-0 hole in the fourth quarter before Austin Seibert hit a 35-yard field goal with eight-and-a-half minutes left in the game. Detroit had less than 100 yards of total offense through the first 45 minutes of the game.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell wasn’t happy about it after the game. “We got whipped. That was brutal,” Campbell said. “First credit Cincinnati. They were ready to go. We didn’t do anything right.”
Jared Goff completed 28 of 42 passes for 202 yards and an interception. D’Andre Swift scored the lone touchdown.
The Lions are in last place in the NFC North with a 0-and-6 record, and they’ll head to Los Angeles to take on their former starting quarterback Matt Stafford and the Rams this Sunday.
