COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – “Today Show” weatherman and more Al Roker will use the Tibbits Opera House in Coldwater next Tuesday as his stage in Michigan in his attempt to break another world record by broadcasting live from all 50 states in less than a week. The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce Thursday announced on their Facebook page that the Tibbits was the winner in the Chamber’s community vote in being allowed by NBC to pick the location for Roker’s event that best showcases Coldwater.
Roker’s coast-to-coast trip as part of his Feeding America fundraiser kicks off today in Hawaii and wraps up next Friday with his return to Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. On Tuesday in advance of his visit to Coldwater, Roker’s first stop November 10 is in Missouri, then it’s Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas before stopping off in Goshen, Indiana and then it’s Coldwater and the Tibbits with day five of his cross country marathon ending in Montpelier, Ohio.
