QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A young boy from Branch County was flown out for treatment after being injured late Wednesday afternoon in an ATV accident in Quincy Township. The crash was reported shortly after 5 p.m. on a gravel road on property at 265 Ridge Road.
Quincy Village Police say the 6-year old was riding on the 4-wheeler with his father when the machine malfunctioned causing it to leave the road and rollover. The handle on the ATV landed on the boy’s arm and according to police, resulted in two fractures. The father escaped injury.
The family drove their son to the Community Health Center of Branch County and from CHC, he was transferred by Air Care to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
No names were released and there’s no word on the boy’s condition.
