COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Election Day 2015 in Branch County yesterday brought the expected low turnout at the polls because the City of Coldwater had the only candidates for voters to consider and the handful of incumbent City Council members seeking new terms faced no opposition. That also included Mayor Tom Kramer as 6.3% of city’s 7,267 registered voters showed up at the Dearth Community Center in Coldwater to fill out a ballot on Tuesday.
Kramer picked up 430 votes for another 2-year term while the largest turnout for the City Council seats came in the Third Ward with 178 voting for Maureen Petzko to serve another four years on the Council.
